I need some help, I am reinstating my old catering business, i have a domain name that i have just purchased, thats Fine. Now, I have a temp website page that i did quickly through www.wix.com and its free, although american, how or can I use my .org.uk domain name rather than the super long address as given on the webpage iv created, i think the site wix offer upgrade but its all american and think maybe i will be better off using a uk web creating company possibly? My girl friend started the page and only once done did i realise it was not a uk one..

Please excuse the lack of punctuation as im using a phone!

There will be a control panel at Wix that allows you to apply to transfer the domain from the company that currently has it registered.
You will probably end up paying for the wix service once you've done this.
I think you can use whois? to see which company this is if you have forgotten. It is a bit of a foggy memory for me so maybe somebody else can add a bit to this.

Consider one of the European sites: I use one.com who are based in Belgium (I think) but both my domains are .co.uk.

It's free on the 3GB plan and not expensive - a couple of quid a month - on higher plans.

I don't think you can just change the name of a domain; you have to register a new domain *somewhere* in the system! One.com looked after that for me.
