Not stolen, they infringed your copyright.

Send a note to the mods on the forum telling them of the copyright infringement and telling them that if they continue to use your image you will be taking them to the small claims court for £10 per image use.

If I take a photo and put it in the public domain, without any reservation, it's difficult to see how there could be any.

Annoying nonetheless, but just notch it up to experience.

I was of course being tongue in cheek about copy right!
The guy is probably unaware that it's not just a stock photo.  The fact I put my art out there for people to enjoy and evoke emotion, well I am feeling flattered right now...!
Just not sure what relevance the Coupe insignia has to the Punto?
And I did get to enjoy the Alphabetti Spaghetti after all.

You still own copyright (if it's your original image) no matter where you post it. Stock photos are also copyright protected unless posted as copyright free. Thre was some talk of changing the rules due to the escalation of internet use and the introduction of 'orphan images' which meant you would be free to use any image in the public domain after you had made all efforts to track down the owner. I haven't checked for a while but I think proving the latter was holding back the ruling.

anyhoo, back to the op. What a bunch of numpties I'm driving a punto nowadays but i think I'll stay on here if you'll have me : I never thought anyone would be foolish enough to carry out an engine conversion and not notify DVLA and Insurance!
