When I bought my coupe I was actually looking for something totally different, and it was just a random nostalgic look for coupes on autotrader since I was on the site. I’ve had a Blitz blue 16VT and 2000 Moongrey 6 speed many years ago. Next thing I knew I’d viewed it and bought it!

Well nearly a year down the line, several upgrades later and silly we niggles overcome I found myself thinking about selling up. She just sits on the drive and the couple of niggles outstanding I’ve just not found the time to address , small boost leak and very intermittent warm start issue which requires 2/3 key turns before the push start does what it says on the tin. Now neither of these are big issues but sometimes the notion just leaves you.

Thankfully I met Ross (H2YPER) and he gave me a shake and told me to get my finger out and just get the wee jobs done and get the coupe off the drive. So when my MOT is due , end of next month I’ll get our local coupe hero RM Motorsport to work his magic on the coupe and get me feeling the love for it again.

So I suppose the question is, how many people find they lose the notion for the coupe as it really is a labour of love? Or leave and come back? (because they are addictive!)

Have never left and never want to either love

Funny, I was only thinking yesterday, that I hadn't seen you posting on the forum lately Kenny.

(I was going to say thinking of you, but that would be taken the wrong way) laugh

Lol not at all T! laugh

Yeah I've been pretty quiet, it was full pelt getting the coupe done and organising the mapping session then work took hold.

I need to get the love back for the coupe and it really is just a case of getting getting the niggles sorted.

Want to enjoy her this summer thumb

I lost a bit of love for my coupe last year. The car never gave me any problems in 4.5 years but I think I got bored of the looks and fancied a change... so I traded her for a lovely looking Alfa 159 2.4 5 pot diesel.

It's not all about looks though!!! I never loved driving the Alfa anywhere near as much despite it being great to drive...

I picked up my 2nd coop, a 20VT Plus last Sunday laugh and I'm back in heaven. Even the ultra modern Alfa could not compete with these cars. They really are something special to me and have been for longer than I've owned them.

The Alfa is now for sale and I won't make the mistake of selling my coop again!

In your defence you were driving rather gingerly the other day, I just assumed you were too tight to fill her up! laugh
