I use mine as my only car. 10,000 trouble-free miles per year (touch wood).

mine has been my daily driver for 5 years now, if they are well maintained they are fine for a daily driver, cue major failure lol

My wee Bee is our one and only p and j, doing 5k p.a. i.e.a daily with not many miles' journey - fuel consumption probably not as could as it could be. Has needed a top mount, a TRE, lower arm and a stat in 2 years, about to get a new eye in her bonce She is my honeypie [Hm forgot, Mrs Ed knows how to get into this if she really wants ]

I'm about to make mine my only car selling my 2004 tdci mondeo - which has given me more trouble in 6 months that any of my coupes put together have in 9 years!!! Only thing im unsure of is it's on a classic insurance policy - with a 3K a year limit, so I would need to increase this to 5/6K if it becomes my only car. So I'm hoping I can do this. Im not married / no kids & If I take my niece & family to seaside for a weekend I'm just gonna hire one out

Neil Willies should be able to arrange at least a 5k deal for you on the above - I've arranged a 6k deal Mine are all 5K policies with NW - 15K should be enough even with my kids' taxi duties!

My first 3 Coupes were only cars (I couldn't afford more!), then partway through owning my 4th I bought a cheap Micra as a runaround and it made Coupe ownership more enjoyable. The Coupe felt faster after commuting in the Micra and I appreciated it more. It also didn't matter as much when something went wrong with it, I could still get about

Mine has been my daily runner for 8 years now. I've put nearly 60k on it, it's had the odd niggle but nothing major. Also i have a BMW 1 series to use at work but at the end of the day i'm glad to jump back into my coop & go home.

Daily driver for the past 5+ years. Only niggles have been a corroded battery clamp and routine consumables.
I asked the same question when I was first thinking of one; can they be used on a daily basis? The answer I was given at the time was a resounding "Yes" so long as you keep on top of the maintenance and don't allow small niggles to build into something bigger.

Had two - only car each time. No problems running em every day, but you'll feel guilty watching the mileometer creep up.

My one and only and probably the most reliable (touch wood) of the cars I've owned which is saying something as I've had two Mondeos; neither of which was unreliable by any stretch of the imagination.
