is there an ign wire for the hu? normally you have to switch the red+yellow wires around on the hu, so the red on the iso lead goes to the yellow on the car loom etc

i did that as straight out from my bravo and dint work,i then put back to matching red-red.yellow-yellow etc and still nothing. The stereo is always on regardless, only goes off if i take the front off.

is this a good thing you recon? This way the whole car's electrics isnt on draining its battery, like the coils etc,
Is it best leaving it this way?

Mike

Your logic with swapping red and yellows is correct for most cars, except the Coupe.

You can take the ignition switch from the cig lighter. I did this as it irritated me having to switch the HU off each time I got out of the car. More details in Ice FAQ.
