Ok guys (and girls), the big day approaches.

On the 29th July I will turn 30. Its a realisation mixed with both sadness and joy.

However, it gives us another perfect opportunity for a Bristol social and Grand Prix morning!

As with last year my birthday falls on the Hungarian GP weekend, so we can follow up a hefty Saturday night out with a blurry eyed and vomit inducing afternoon/lunchtime at a pub in Bristol to watch the GP.

I will also be celebrating 1 month in my new home so there will be room for those who have been ejected from Casa da Dans.

I'm thinking/hoping it'll be a scorcher, so Saturday lunchtime we all meet up and head to pub with a big outdoor area and plenty of TV's. I'm thinking the White Lion in Clifton for that.


Then onwards and..well...downwards for food somewhere. Then everyone retires back to the various bases for the three S's.

Finally we all head out for an evening of sensible shinanigans.

Sunday morning we all drag ourselves to whichever pub Dan recommends to watch the GP and get some food in us.

Interested? (Also Dan, can you confirm Casa Da Dan will be open for business?)

I spent many a working lunch/afternoon/evening on that balcony sinking Stowford Press by the gallon.

I will see what can be done to make Casa da Dan available for bookings that weekend - and my time free, as it's one of my weekends with my kids.

BUT, and a big BUT - it's in the midst of half term holidays, so normal arrangements are likely to be flexed with holidays etc etc.

It will indeed, and i am happy to take on FCCUK's vagrants, but it's not nearly as palatial as Casa da Dan, so will not be able to hold as many.

Just 'bumping' this for those who would like to come down to Bristol, but may have missed this thread the first time round.

i have now moved into my new place and can say that i can fit 2 or 3 people into my place, without it getting too friendly. Parking will be a bit more awkward, most likely you'd have to park up the road a bit.

Just a 2 week reminder. I'm not sure if Dan will be available, so i can tell you i have the following sleeping options available:

Double Sofa-bed, with Duvet & pillow.

and.... thats it.

I have lots more space, but no bedding so if Dan isnt available i may raid him for air beds, or you are welcome to bring your own. I have 1 spare sleeping bag, and some spare pillows.

I think, with a bit of guy love and sharing, we could fit 5 people in my place?

I've just bought a new frying pan and all sorts of tasty goodies, so myself, joe and Ruebs will be all good sunday morning

Nothing set in stone yet. With Joe and Reubs staying at mine, i cant really 'start' untill they arrive. UNLESS of course you want to meet up in the Welly ? around Saturday lunchtime?

Then once Elton John and David Furnish turn up we can start heading into town proper (White Lion).

Any/all of that sounds good. Some time around early/mid Saturday afternoon would be a good start time for me.

Dont think anyone from work will be coming. I know my mate Steve will be, MAYBE one or two others who i've only kinda half invited after my birthday is on the same day as another person who we both knew.

So it should be quite a small affair, but that just makes it easier to manage. getting a large group of men into a bar can be a nightmare so this small posse should be fine.

NEW PLAN!

Dan has offered to fire up his BBQ again. So all those not put off by the last time they attended his BBQ, can all go along to his for some food and drinks!

So it's now:

Meet at mine from 12 onwards to watch GP Quali & drink champers, wait for Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum to arrive, then slope off to Dans for the BBQ, then all back to their respective homes to shower and get the BBQ smell off.

Then back out in Bristol for the evening!

That is a plan! Me an he-man should be with you around midday
