For various reasons my Coupe, which has been semi retired this year after I bought a replacement car, had to be called into action for my holiday at very short notice. The holiday was 4 weeks in Brittany and the notice was so short that there was no time to do anything other than check fluid levels etc. (I actually changed the oil whilst away as it was due by that stage and there wasn't time before setting off). So, a 670 mile trip there, lots of running around whilst there and then 680 miles back yesterday, all without any issues so well done Coupe! Considering the mileage is now 186k I am pretty pleased with that, when we got home last night I said to my wife I'm not sure why I bothered spending the money on a replacement if it can still do that!

We even managed to fit 4 weeks luggage, a few tools, a dog and various other things in the car, and there was room for some wine on the way back.

To top it all, driving across France yesterday at around their legal limit it averaged 34mpg too, brilliant!

Did it turn a few heads over there, indeed did you see any other coops?

It always turns heads, there are a few Coupes in Brittany but I didn't see one this time, my wife did when she was out one day but I wasn't with her at the time.

We are restoring a house out there and the estate agent we bought it from had one and was changing it for an LE or similar last time I saw him but he has changed location now so not seen him for a while.

Glad to hear it travelled the distance full to the brim without missing a beat!

Time to flog the other car?
