Has any one attempted to put there k&n air filter through the washing machine I ev got one that's filthy! It's not on my pride and joy so I'm not too worried and my washing machine is for dirty work stuff any way. I might give it ago maybe 60' cotton wash plenty of washing powder (non bio) , before and after photos watch this space !😝

if you have an outside tap, just use an old toothbrush or similar and scrub it with hot soapy water then rinse off and leave to dry thumb

Dish washer would be more suitable surely? It will be tumbled to death in a washer. As an aside a 20v Rocket cover comes up a treat in a dishwasher, needs 2-3 cylces though laugh

A friend of mine regularly put paintbrushes in the dishwasher. To my amazement, they - and the rest of the washing up - came out sparkling.

Before. . .

And after. . .

Not much diffrence from appearance bit more worn out if anything! But it's clean and I noticed a diffrence for the better when I put it back on.

The amount of black stuff that came out of filter might have lubed up the pump a bit , I did chuck it in the tumble dryer but it didn't like it much sounded like a hammer rattling round in there
