In no particular order:

Caterham 7 (whatever the fastest one is at the time smile )
Ferrari F40
Ferrari 355
E30 M3
Pre-'89 911 Turbo

I like '80's cars quite a lot. I also seem to share some good taste with Mr. Prestatyn.

The only ones I've really wanted to own and have had are the Astra GTE's and I still have the Coupe laugh

The others are more of a current wish list:

Nissan Skyline R32, 33 or GTR.

Mustang - any, I like the look of any model I've seen.

Jaguar XKR-S.

VW Scirocco R.

Alfa Romeo 147 GTA.

I love them love

I like the 147's anyway, but the GTA is just perfect and feels much nicer than the 156 GTA's (although I'd have the Sportwagon GTA cool ).
Feels solid on the road, lovely to drive, understated and rare and has the best and most comfortable seats ever cool

Ohh, nice selection there bezzer. I did consider the Capri but haveing driven a 3ltr it was a tragic dissapointment. I did used to drool over the 2.8i brochure still.

I had a 2 litre laser and at the time I thought it was a brilliant car! Mine was 2 tone grey blue and looked the dogs danglies hehe

As for the 2.8i, who could fail to like this? love

Always wanted a Dolly Sprint but they were always too expensive for me.

Still looks pretty good....

It's been a lifelong love of mine, mate. I've owned a few American motors and my 'sensible' Chevy Astro dayvan's being treated to a Supercharged Corvette engine next summer. lick

Here are my "just out of reach" cars I badly wanted.

1. Fiat 127 Sport.
I had a 903cc 127 with about 50 BHP. Fantastic to drive. The thought of 75 raring horses and spoilers and everything.

2. Chrysler Sunbeam TI
100 eager horses, tiny body, RWD, and cheap for a while.

3. Rover SD1 Vitesse
Waft, beauty, space, and electrical bits from the future.

4. Citroen CX Turbo 2
Staggeringly quick and beautiful old beast. Odd, jumpy handling on the limit.

5. TVR Chimaera
Love the details, the sound, the performance, beautiful Leather and Aluminium interior. Too good to be true - just like the Coupe.

I'd settle for any 70s Citroen these days. The GS was another really neat job too if you owned shares in a body filler company.

I think it was the Weber / Solex carbs. Zenith/ Stromberg / SUs always seem like they're strangling the engine.
Was the Brazil engine an OHC?
