Did you fit the washing machine as an extra? Do they come with the Jizzbag plus seats? laugh

Didn't all scotts green coops come with washing machines as standard? Got a lovely silver Hotpoint Aqualtis in the current one. smile

That one also came with a clothes pole, Yaris exhaust and petrol tank, an old bike, a GPZ500s engine and swingarm and half an old Royal Mail cart. Got one heck of a crick in my neck driving it home to strip it.

Yaris t-sport exhaust and a spare tank for those long journeys up north, sounds like someone was sensible whilst ticking the options boxes!

Back O.T, I once viewed a coupe at James Twist, seemed a decent bloke and also used to advertise belt changes on Autotrader for £450.

Mine's sporting a white Hotpoint WD640 but I reckon it's plumbed in better laugh

I reckon I'll print that picture off and give it to Lindsay (sp?) next time I'm there smile

It's a looooong time ago, probably about 10 years now, but I had the cambelt and other work done on my old coupe @ James Twist garage by "Wigan" Paul himself and couldn't have been any happier with the work or service.

Dealing with those guys was a real breath of fresh air after the repeatedly awful service from my local fiat dealer. They even let me borrow their loan car for the day despite forgetting to take my driving licence down with me.

Anyways, not really relevant to the OP's problem but thought it was worth mentioning.

I've normally left a decent pile of money frown

All for genuine, high quality work I should add laugh

Same as Came2dance and GrahamL. No complaints from me when Paul worked on mine for a year or two before I decided to give Powerfiat a go - but it was nine years ago and things can change.

I agree with Jame5 that it's not always possible to fully check out a car with a fine toothbrush for the reasons he stated (element of trust lets your guard down and you need to drive a car for a week or so to better judge your purchase and discover faults).
Unfortunately, unless you are handy with spanners, coupe's are actually quite expensive (you'll spend thousands if you keep it a few years or more) to run, if you do not want to drive around in a crapper.
Hope it gets sorted.

Alan

Hi all!
I have not been on the forum for quite some time due to life changing commitments!
I am very upset that Katie is using the forum to publicly voice 'her' opinion about a 20VT she recently purchased from myself, in particular making allegations that the car had an illegal MOT test.
Just for the record, she has since had the car inspected by VOSA which showed up no issues other than some items could not be tested as the car was not running.
I think this is a very rude and highly exaggerated post, and if anyone wishes to ask any questions I would be more than happy to comment.
I see her comments as slanderous and without fact, constantly contradicting her statements.
That's all for now,
thanks, Paul

Rudidudi you are a legend. I thought I'd had a good old look at the DVLA site for this and here it is. Just checked out the car I've just bought and all looks good smile
