I sent off a form for a quote on Sunday and had an email from NW informing me that they no longer insured coupes.

Weird - my son phoned them last week for a quote on the 16v I gave him for his birthday - they quoted without a problem

Hope that's not true as they were the only competitive quote for me and even then it was expensive!

"Thank you for requesting a quotation from us for your Fiat Coupe.

Unfortunately, we are no longer providing quotations for this type of vehicle and we are therefore unable to assist you in this instance.

Perhaps, you may be able to find details of how to obtain a quotation from elsewhere on the Fiat Coupe Forum."

What do they mean by 'this type of vehicle' a modded coupe perhaps? or all coupes?

Hello everyone, Sarah here, sorry but after 18 years of employment with Neil Willies Insurance i have decided to leave and unfortunately I do not take up my new position until 1st August.

Please do not panic my new employers are happy to offer cover on the coupe and have every intention of offering the same policy hopefully exactly the same policy as long as they are allowed to and they are currently in negociations with NWIB to do this and take control of all current policies, which I am hoping the club will be pleased with. Unfortunately, I cannot go into any more detail on this until I know exactly what is going on, but in the meantime should you need a quotation please contact my new employer, Glynwood Insurance - 01527 591057

Sorry, for not informing you earlier, unfortunately I have actually left sooner than expected and at this point in time I am unable to help personally, but if you can wait I hope to provide the same friendly, helpful, competitive service as before, but with more experienced support, which should mean that when I am not around the service won't be compromised and therefore can only be a positive.

In the meantime if you have a current policy with Neil Willies and you have any queries you do need to deal with them directly and they have a duty to assist you and you should continue to contact them regarding this until you are advised any different

Sorry I cannot say much more at this stage

Regards Sarah

Unfortunately Neil Willies Insurance have not communicated with the club about this in any way.

Those members who will receive their membership packs tomorrow, please ignore the NW flyers enclosed.

I just had to deal with them to add a couple of mods to my policy. Added no problems, and no extra charge. I did slightly lower my annual mileage though.

Sarah, all the best in your new position smile But I'll miss the personal service and competitive quotes tailored to one's personal requirements.

At least I've got until April.....

I have today received a letter from Neil Willies confirming that my coupe insurance is following Sarah to Glynwood Specialist Insurance with effect from 31st July.

I expect the entire scheme to transfer and will post when I have confirmation.

What does this mean to those currently insured through NW?

Does it mean that all policies will be cancelled, moved automatically to Glynwood or what?

I received a letter this morning and it is all rather vague!

Well, I did see that, then this letter came this morning direct from Neil Willies. As I said, rather vague and being direct from the company and stating something along the lines that NW will be handing over the policy to Glynwood. Sarah states above that NW have a duty of care to look after those insured and should assist us?

Clear now? I thought not smile

Neil Willies are a broker...
Existing policies will stay as you are insured directly with an underwriter NW just facilitate the policies.
existing policies will not be terminated however the management of those policies may switch over to Glynwood over time. So when your renewal comes through it may not be NW contacting you.

example
I took out a policy with NW... however NW are not my insurer. My Insurer is Britt Insurance LTD

I wish Sarah the best in her new appointment, must be quite a change after such a long time.

Good luck & good to see her still offering the same scheme.

See what happens when I get my Glynwood renewal smile

Hello everyone,

Just to confirm, as Pete has advised, my new employer, Glynwood, will be taking over the administration of all policies going forward, as per the letter, the scheme has basically been transferred to Glynwood following my departure from Neil Willies.

So same insurance, benefits and cover, my lovely self helping you, just a different name above the door! :-)

Regards
Sarah

Hi Phil,

As the letter states going forward ALL policies, which I understand are all Fiat coupe related business, will be handled by my new employer, Glynwood.

This was what I meant by Glynwood were having nogotiations with NWIB to take control of all policies, obviously until the deal was done all policies were still administered by NWIB.

So the only difference you should notice is that the brokers have changed, the cover, benefits, rates and terms etc will be the same.

Hope this clears the matter up for you

Regards
Sarah

Thanks for clarifying this Sarah. I too received the letter this morning.

I need to cancel my policy, as the coupe is now sold. I'll contact you at Glynwood. Do you have a new e-mail contact also?

Just had to insure a Coupe. Contacted Sarah at the new company, absolutely awesome.

Not the cheapest per comparison sites, but definitely the best policy for the money and the service has been awesome so far. Also wanted to support a company that supports us.

Sarah has hit the ground running with Glynwood. Great job. Hopefully it reflected well that you had new policies running out the door first day smile
