I serviced my car a month ago including fitting a new air filter. 2 days ago I took my son to school and when I returned I noticed one of my headlights was out. When I opened the bonnet a mouse ran out and on closer examination it had made a nest of leaves in the air filter box! I cleaned it out and hoovered it.
Next day I checked under the bonnet and another mouse nest had appeared next to the battery!! Cleared it all away and changed parking spot.
Checked today-- no mouse nest.
I know coupes are popular but that is ridiculous! The mouse hasn't even got a driving licence!

Your not the only one to want rid of those pesky critters!
They regularly damage our Aquatic Compost bags to store acorns in. Keep me awake at night with their tap dance shows and when I bought my transit, they had nested between the wing and the ECU, fortunately no damage had occurred!

mouse + airbox + 18psi = bang!

I have one nesting between the bonnet and bonnet lining. It's chewed a ruddy great hole just above the plenum.

I have the same problem with my mother in-laws car in the US! You have to be careful as they like wiring looms! My answer, poison traps all around the engine bay, the type that makes them thirsty, then sticky traps/pads around a tray of water under the car and now the mice are no more!

Thats mad though never seen a mouse onboard a car, I'm more used to pet incy wincy spider in the wing mirror. Mind you old incy wincy seems to have done a dissapearing act in my new motor he's been in all the others over the years, perhaps he's not a fan of the new German habitat dont blame him lol
