I've had 2 coupes so far. Both LE's and I have always been clear on the turbo cooling process. People are telling me all sorts of different things. I just want one clear answer. Lol how long do I leave the engine running after a short journey to cool the turbo. How long on let's say a 10 mile run of normal driving below 3000 rpm. And how long after a 10 mile run give it the beans. Please help I'm getting frustrated and paranoid lol grr

Don't leave it running at all. Simply backing off the throttle for the last mile or so of your journey will do the trick.

We must all do our part for the planet.
I unplugged a row of electric cars that nobody was using.

+1 for an easy last mile or two, should be plenty of time for cooling. I've never left mine running at the end of my journey.

I let mine tick over for no longer than a minute when I pull in just to make sure the turbo isn't spinning it's bum off when I turn off so not to runs dry of oil

Thanks guys it makes life easier not letting it run. I don't usually give it the beans. I almost feel sorry for it sometimes lol

It's ye olde non water jacket turbos that needed to be left running as they only had oil to let them cool, although the coupe is by no means modern it's. Also not a 1980's machine. As people have said, as long as you don't thrash it up to your front door don't worry.
