http://www.bbc.com/travel/feature/20131206-how-well-do-you-know-the-world-play-geoguessr-to-find-out

This is fun, I spent over half my life traveling around the globe and apparently I know cock all!!
I should have spent more time looking out of the window and less time looking at the inside of eyelids.

I find that very amusing! I can access it in France but can't access BBC iplayer. Seems strange that BBC licence payers can't access stuff provided by the Beeb!

Oh, sorry guys, I didn't realize frown

How ridiculous that you can't see it as a license payer yet I'm getting it for free. It's the unique way the BBC is funded.....

I tried this, too. It is very hard. Finding number plates and any signs on buildings help! I once got to within 130km, but as much by luck as judgement...

I managed to mistake part of Arizona for Austria. It's amazing how similar high-altitude temperate forests look...

Heh. 775 metres from the correct location and 4998 points on one hit.

21,100 points total; I confused Sao Paulo countryside with Mato Grosso.

Good game, I think we've had it before on here.

9338 on my first go. Some of my guesses were shocking; Chinese countryside mistaken for Eastern Europe, for example.

Luckily I got given an absolute gift of a road I drove on on my honeymoon on the way to Yosemite National Park.
