might be off to coupe heaven?

You give it a wash, a bloody good polishing and take some pics.

Fingers and toes crossed for next week when it'll be getting looked at to see if it's fixable.

Seriously hope everything is ok. Looks far too nice to be going to coupe heaven yet.

I think either oil cooler or oil cooler pipe has failed while driving. I'm hoping I saved it, switched it off pretty quick.

Sad to think that coupe ownership could all be over this time next week.

What was the indicator that there was a problem?

Apart from the loss of oil?

I feel for you.

Hope it's fixable, as it looks lovely.

Fingers crossed

Oil light came on followed by zero oil pressure. I think I turned it of within seconds of the light coming on. Around 1 litre of oil came out of it while waiting for a tow so I'm hopeful.

About a litre or so came out of mine (on the works car park laugh ) after I'd switched it off and mine was fine afterwards, so I'm feeling hopeful for you cool

I'd do the same, making it look its best shows the repairer that it's loved and the owner gets a wee psychological boost smile

Have faith - a couple of years ago we emptied less than a litre of very thick oil from a Coupe that was driven to us for a routine service - we feared the worst, but after a refill with fresh oil, it started up and ran perfectly

My old sprinty dumped its oil from the Cooler pipes at slow speed. I turned it off as soon as I noticed. It was fine - I put another 50k of trouble free miles on it before I sold it.

It is too early to send our Coop to the heaven!

Mine was death two months ago, cranckshaft bearing went off, so engine was good only for the scrapyard.

After two months I found a Plus engine with low mileage, and my Coop will bring back to life next month!

Finger crossed for you!!!!

Don't worry mate, 2 months ago my engine was heavily damaged. Due to loss of compression on the 3rd cylinder, the oil started coming out of the crankcase ventilation system...When the engine was opened, the diagnose was worn camshafts and cylinders, totally destroyed head... But actually it was a good point to start building a heavily modified engine smile
