So Aston is building its new car in St Athan, which is not far from me. Nice to have a good news story for a change.

Yes, great news for the Welsh economy.

It's a fugly looking thing though isn't it? The car, not Wales.

Your links not working Toby.

It also means that circuit of Wales is one step closer to actually happening before I'm too old to drive on it thumb

Thanks Joe.

I meant to say good for the UK too, as they did look at places overseas for the new car.

Yes it isn't the best looking car... But it's an Aston.

It may be a catalyst for other improvements in the area including transport links an more customers for the airport.

Also hoping for Cardiff Snow dome !!

If the circuit goes ahead, I'll be there behind the rocket Joe !!

It's good news all round. I watched a programme about Aston a few months back; models like this one (hopefully popular with a wider range of customers) are regarded as the price to be paid for being able to continue building the "proper" ones.

Thinking of a career change, Toby??
I wonder if working on a car production line is that satisfying though? I like having older cars that need fixing up, but I suppose if you worked on the Peugeot line they'd need repairing as they are built laugh

I wonder how much discount you'd get off a new Aston if you worked there?

I am tempted by working there.. But in similar role to what I do now. I've a friend who does the same for Jag Land Rover.

I'm sure there will be plenty of applicants though. So not a hope in hell.

My last job I helped with some redesign of the instrument pack for the next Jag to save a couple of quid smile
