Yada and, if you will, yada.

Although Stoffel Vandoorne will be interesting to watch, as will the situation between Bernie, the FIA, CVC and the GPDA.

Button actually looking reasonably quick in the McLaren at the start of FP2.

Third fastest after FP2 but of course one doesn't know the relative fuel loads... are they still having the stupid quali tomorrow?

I can't believe there hasn't been a huge fan backlash against the new quali. I know I've tweeted @FIA to say how stupid it is.

Ah, you're making the classic mistake there MRS, assuming that they actually care about the fans....

There has been a backlash by drivers, teams, journalists and - some - fans. I think a lot are too bemused to comment.

I thought I saw on the TV coverage that the teams got together, decided the new quali hadn't worked, and agreed to go back to the previous format.
So it should be changed for this race. Unless I dreamt it ???

No you didn't dream it. Todt, in his infinite wisdom, only put two options on the table when it was finally formally discussed. Neither option was to go back to the old format. The teams couldn't agree on either option so it was decided to stay with what they had as it was "the least worse option"

What a shambles!!!

No, I'm sure they don't care. But at least they can't claim that the fans are happy with it.

Oh I'm sure if asked they would tell you everything is rosy in the garden, quali worked perfectly and everyone loved it, Bernies doing a great job and martians are, in fact, bright purple, not green.

Lets just hope the race has some of the drama missing from quali.

I quite enjoyed watching the race, some good overtakes.

Good to see McLaren getting a point at last.

16VT and X1/9 1500

We must all do our part for the planet.
I unplugged a row of electric cars that nobody was using.

Bahrain should be the last GP of the season rather than The snorefest that is Abu Dhabi. A much better track that offers more chances to overtake.

Really pleased Rosberg won laugh

Great midfield battle, good to see Manor up there.

Would have been a better race with vet's still in it, but I agree the track is a good 'un. Tyres are still a bit fruity though.....
