Evening all. Ok so I'm after some purists honest opinion as I want to be fair and honest. I've unfortunately run into trouble finances and going have to sell the coup. Now I am under no illusion that things still need sorting but its a strong example, clean body and interior and good service history. It was off the road for 8 and a half years and I've been gradually working over the last 7 months to get her through the mot, which she now has. There are problems, possible alternator, definate alarm and obviously whoever takes it on would be well advised to do all belts water pump etc. The engine though is strong, pulls hard though I've not really given it hard driving due to belts etc, sits nicely now at good temperature, oil pressure is a good 3 dropping to 2.75 hot. As I say there is a folder full of receipts, service history including cambelt change was good and done prior to being taken off the road. What I want to know is what's a fair price I should be asking? I know what I'm into it and the hours I've spent sorting it and I'm not out to make money would just rather it went onto someone who felt they paid a good price for what could be a great car

Any suggestions or advice greatly received

Many thanks

Scott

Only 3 owners and under 100,000 miles is rare these days.

I would give £1500 for it and I hate porto.

Values are certainly on the up, sorry to hear you need to sell after the effort to get it running again, but good luck with the sale.

Pricing is difficult. Personally, I'd have been aimimg more towards the £2 to 3k direction. I'm sure you've put money into it, and £1500 seems like a real shame. I've recently had similar thoughts about moving mine on, but considering I've spent thousands on it in the last 2 1/2 years, I think I'd rather just park it up under cover. £1500 is risking it being sold to the wrong crowd - if you know what I mean? However, if £1500 makes a big difference to your personal finances then fair enough.

Just my opinion...

What car can you get for £1500? A very old Ford Focus covered in rust, poorly maintained. £1500 is far to cheap for a Coupe

cheers all, appreciate time and replies. I've got to sell unfortunately and the car I would say needs more time, effort and money to make a real top car. It was off the road for 8 years and although I would say generally the condition is good there are things that if I was keeping I would sort. I'm just about to list on eBay so if anyone wants pictures details etc. message me and I'll send bits over.

its a shame but I really want to pass it on to someone who can appreciate her and happy with the price they pay..

thanks again all
