What do others use to catalogue spare parts for their Coupe?

I am accumulating parts now - from various sources - autojumbles, friends freebies, a old donor car which came in bits, etc

Really could do with starting to catalogue parts in the garage.

Any ideas or recommendations

I have no system at all and sometimes struggle to remember where I put stuff and sometimes find parts I never knew I had...so how about a list containing some or all of the following:

Description
Category (engine internal/external, electrical, fuel, exhaust, suspension, brakes, etc.)
OE part number
Aftermarket part number
Equivalent part number
Also fits other cars
Manufacturer
New or used (if used, where from)
Bought from
Price paid and date
Boxed or not
Location (where stored)
Date fitted

MS Excel with similar fields as per DaveG is what I use.
