Hi, my 20vt has had its Meta alarm box removed as the alarm was playing up. Keys still work central locking but I miss the remote fob action!!

Been in touch with Abacus (recommended on here) and is a few hundred notes to refit an alarm module!!

Not bothered about having an alarm (who takes notice) but do fancy remote central locking.

Has anyone just added a remote fob kit to the central locking module under the drivers sear? Is this even possible? They are really cheap and could even add a boot pop option? Ta

Possible, and shouldn't be difficult as they just need momentary contacts on separate lock and release circuits. Without pointers to the remove fob kit you intend to use I can't comment further.

Ta Barnacle, found a few links on the forum showing how it can be done. Looks like the old meta alarm loom can be used to join in a simple remote central locking unit. Abacus alarms do an updated plug and plat kit for the old meta alarms but it’s not that cheap. rolleyes
