I was having a great blast on some sunny Devon main roads yesterday when an ef#%ng Pheasant decided to terminate itself on the front of my car.
We all jumped out of our skins as it and bits of the grill shot up over the windscreen.
So has anyone got a grill that fits a VT6? I believe its the Le or Plus one with the square holes.

Poor pheasant. OE Grill used on eBay or on here, they are now going for hefty sums; or get a fabricated version from AutoDS

Thanks,I'll look into it.
Poor pheasant my foot. They breed thousands of them round here for rich people to shoot, they're a menace and have cost me a bit in repairs over the years.

They are a bloody nuisance, they think they can out run you before they remember they can fly. I had one run alongside then took off and broke my mirror, not the glass but the (metal) bracket! The worse pheasant incident I had was on a big Suzuki, damn thing flew out of the hedge and got stuck between the frame and the forks, couldn't steer, luckily it was fairly straight bit of road and I was able to stop. I was considering the best way of cooking pheasant as I was disentangling it when it suddenly strung to life and crapped all over my new jeans! For those not in the know, Pheasant crap is dark green and stinks.

This is interesting. There was some dark green stinky crap at my local park which one of my Springers thought would make a tasty snack. If it was pheasant poo then no wonder, it's in the breed y'know.

Plenty of roadkill between Joe's and Hemel on the weekend, and most of it was pheasant...

Mind you, I'd rather hit one in a car (done it a couple of times over the year) than in the air: I had one hit me in the chest as I took off in my paraglider one time; they're a big bird and when you hit one at 30mph it leaves a bloody big bruise... at least I got down in one piece.

Memories: my father used to hunt pheasants with a 15 ton truck full of Joe Lyons' best cake; the bumper was just the right height for breaking their necks. Worked for rabbits, too, on a dark night... I learned to pluck and draw birds and skin and gut rabbits before I was ten.

As pheasant crap correspondent i can vouch it's green, fox is quite different. Indeed phonetically Ph= F, Crap Correspondent = FCC seems appropriate, Jim fear not Highlands, Low humour FCC is entirely appreciated!

True.

I thought about making a bird related pun, but then I realised it would never fly.

With hindsight we really shouldn't be surprised that a bird wants to get in a coop.
