I still regret selling my blue coop around 5 years ago. I didn't realise how good it was until I started looking for a replacement. If there aren't any other cars out there that float your boat, then spend the money and get a decent respray. You only live once and if the cosmetic condition of the car is making you unhappy then do something about it.
I'm with you there Dan. I've said so many times before that this is the only car that I've owned that makes me feel a happy bunny when I'm behind the wheel in such a way that I can hardly explain. It is a marmite car for some, but as we speak I'm having my beloved sprinty going through a make over at some considerable expense. I too am at that stage of life that it is indeed too short. Just had to be done for me.

I'd say, keep the car, unless it gives you too much headaches. And, since you're going to repair the panels (not a big deal), it's a good time for a full respray. If, on the other hand, the car does not meet your needs for the doggies, or you need a bigger car, then the decision is probably to sell it. But, I would not sell it only because you would need to do some suspension arms, since, any old car that you'd buy as a replacement, would most likely need to have some work done on it, sooner or later.

Annie, if you get rid of your Coop and get something sensible for your dogs, one day you're going to be sat in traffic thinking about your Coop, when a red one is going to drive past you and then the following is going to happen... Dog 1: Woof woof woof! Dog 2: Woof woof! Dog 1: Woof woof! Dog 2: Woof woof woof! Dog 1: Annie did you see that Fiat Coupe? Dog 2: It was a Plus model right? You: Actually Dog 2, it was a Limited Edition. You might have noticed that the wing mirrors and tail light surrounds were titanium col WHAT THE F#*#!?!?!? The most ludicrous thing about the above is when you call one of your dogs Dog 2.

Ha ha ha JKD. The dogs are called Snoop and Moss. Snoop is a 13 year old black and white springer collie cross, and Moss is a liver and white springer. Snoop was rehomed from a neighbour at 10 months, Moss came from the RSPCA at 6 months. When Snoop gets in, my son says "In the Coop, Snoop". Moss is completely devoted to me, follows me everywhere, waits outside the loo, won't eat or drink if I go out without him, and howls like a wolf.

Imagine if Moss was called Dogg instead. That way in public, when you called them together you'd say, "Snoop! Dogg!" This would be quite cool and no doubt highly appreciated by any fans of Snoop Dogg who may be present. On the other hand, say if it was just Dogg on his own, and you called out, "Dogg!" then other people (possibly even any fans of Snoop Dogg) would just think you were really unimaginative when it came to dog names.

I understand, I drove a mates mapped Audi with similar power to my Coop the other day but it felt too polite and plastic. My new work van is the same. These newer vehicles are all well and good but they don't have the vibe of the Coop. Take the skoda for a test drive and you will keep the Coop!
