Weekend of mixed fortunes at the beautiful Anglesey track.

Saturday race, first time out on the International circuit, qualified 9th on a damp track. Finished the race 1st in class and third overall.

Sunday, on the Coastal circuit, started 3rd and was leading the field by 18s after the pit stops when an LV lead fell off my coil, ending my race. Had fastest lap in class in both races. I think that’s the only reliability DNF I’ve ever had in a race (at least as far as I can remember) so I shouldn’t be too upset.

Well done Richard.

We must all do our part for the planet.
I unplugged a row of electric cars that nobody was using.

Well done! Shame about the DNF, but - as you say - reliability hasn't been an issue for you mainly!

Thanks, both.

Jim, I have remembered one other DNF - at Brands when, bizarrely, my clutch slave cylinder was rotating and strangling its own fluid supply. I tried lapping in just 3rd but it was pretty horrible so abandoned. I think that was a symptom of a vibration issue possibly from the clutch itself.

I get no opportunity to look at the car properly between races at the moment.
