With a little bit (lots) of help, I managed to fit an FMIC. It was a horrible, long job, with lots of rust and cursing. But it's done.

I know now what the next stage of work on my car will be, adding weight by removing rusty bits on the front end!

The problem with welding is that you need some sound metal to weld to... wink

@Gripped - Yes, a friend has a unit of sorts I can use, he's a good egg! He's got a small welder but Joe will get the pleasure of this job sometime. We ground off the flakey stuff and painted to try and give it some protection.

@DaveG - there's some good stuff in there somewhere, I promise. But that bar will get a temporary piece welded on for the time being
