So back around 2008/9 I started gathering interest here on the forum (this was under my previous forum name, which sadly was removed when GDPR came in) for a decent quality photo heavy 'coffee table' style book for the Coupe, made up of owners images from all around the world, coupled with factual info etc. I know there are a couple of owner guide books out there - this would not be competing with one of them.

Interest was great, and I got lots of info and words direct from Chris Bangle and Andreas Zapitinas, as well as lots of forum member images sent to be included. All of which I have recently found and have still!

Then 2 x kids, business, and reluctant sale of my sprint blue put this on hold. Now with me coming back into Coupe ownership this year, and it being the 25th anniversary, AND the fact i have a lot of time to spare as we all do currently, I would step back on it and make it happen. Especially as its 25 years.

I joined a couple of Facebook groups for the coupe and posted there, which has had lots of people interested, and want to re-ignite this over here of course!

For now, it would be great for people just to comment if they have an interest in a book once ready - it will be a high quality, photo heavy, coffee-table style book, crammed with the images from all over the world of different coupe's, coupled with all the info and images Chris Bangle gave me years back. This won't be a micro small cheapo book, it will be a keepsake for the 25th year. If i can, i'd like to get it boxed too. Prices, depending on the final solution, are likely to be £30-£50 as a guidleline for now. Obviously before any orders are made official all this info will be set in stone ready to go.

For anyone who's images are used in the book, I would of course name credit them. From my previous round of info gathering, I have over 350 owner images, however a good portion will be too low res to use. So would be really keen to continue with this, and have images of Coupes from all over the world sent over, hi-res, of cars, events, mods, colours, special coupes, etc etc - the bigger variation the better!

I have created a GMail account for sending images to, and for now I would say the best way for me to dish this out would be to DM me first, and I will send it over with some pointers on info I'd need. I am happy to put the email and info on this thread, but not sure if the Admins would allow this?? If so I'll add it in with their permission.

Hoping the return of this will be as popular as it has been over on FB, and was before, and really keen to get it off the ground!

Any questions, please let me know.

Mark

Hi Mark, this is a really exciting idea which I would be interested in. Mine (BumbleBee) is undergoing restoration atm with all bodywork now repaired and resprayed, and back at FCSS awaiting refit. I'd love to offer a photo of her when complete - provided this present situation eventually allows such a thing.

Thanks again, Photobucket.

Go for it Mark

I'm sure a comprehensive keepsake for the diehard coupe enthusiast would be even more appreciated than the over-priced and slightly underwhelming 18:scale model that was produced. I'm in!

I'm definitely interested in a copy. Can't remember if I sent you photos before, I think I did but remind me of your previous user name and it might help. I can certainly send some more over.

Should very much be 2020! Lots of content ready, just needing to add to images, find print source and assemble in a visually pleasing way 🤣

Across the 2 x Facebook groups I’ve posted in, plus the above, I’d estimate I’ve got around 100-120 wanting one.

The more the better! Some of the images I’ve been sent are truly amazing
