Just fired her up for the first time in 4 years.
Started on first crank as if it was just another day... what an engine. What a car. I'm back in love.

Excellent news - did you replace any belts first?

Oh don't worry they're on the list. Lots of things need doing. The aux belts got done as i changed all the idler wheels / bearings as one had siezed and the belt wore a flat onto it before it got spinning.
Sat on axle stands at the front and ramps at the back with no brakes on the front so there won't be any load going through anything for a while.

I'm so impressed it just fired up and the new oil pipes i fit haven't leaked at the cooler or block end.

I always feel like this when the Coop starts after a long time.

Muzzie was it your Coop that got really badly damaged by hailstones a couple of years ago? Or was that someone else on the forum? confused

That was mine. Looks like a golf ball. Still looks like a golf ball but now a dirty one that got lost in the woods, or a pond.....

I'm just grateful that my oil cooler and pipes didn't leak after i fit them. The pipes are bright red now!
