I find the more and more of the bigger institutions are becoming less and less accessible, it's like someone is slowly covering them with stealth paint. They don't like you to visit, to call - unless you give in and wait the obligatory 20 minutes - and then the "Chat" option has to contravene trades descriptions as you're often sounding off to a robot.
"I'm sorry I didn't understand that" when you say "landline not working" or "no dialling tone" to a
telephone provider as happened to me last week when calling TalkTalk

It's hardly surprising when some enterprising people look for ways to get around the system.
This is quite a good mid-week rant
