Indeed it is not something in rural France atm however you should be aware of the French Crit'air system. It bans (on pain of fine) vehicle access to city/town centers based on a vehicles Euro emissions classification dependent on the pollution level declared on any given day. The Coupe will not always comply.

It’s looking gloomy ahead my reply from Retrofit company

Many thanks for your enquiry, we do not currently have a retrofit solution for the Fiat 20v. VIS ENGINE 182B3000 passenger car, it is up to the retrofit system suppliers to design, develop, test and apply for CVRAS approval to make vehicles compliant with ULEZ. They need to see a business case to do so.

It is unlikely a solution will come to market as it takes a significant investment to design, develop, test and approve a retrofit system so there needs to be a significant volume of the vehicle make and model requiring a retrofit solution to cover this investment. Retrofit systems are specific to make and engine so the number of variants needed to cover the market also prohibits system development

Very true, although where we live and the places that the coupe is likely to visit, they are are generally small and probably don't have enough traffic to measure the pollution!

The probability is that the sort of stuff that the farmers (and the many 'old boys') chug around in down here, probably make the Coupe look 'clean'!

I'm not convinced any of this (ULEZ, Crit'air etc.) is measured as such, as I don't believe it's really about pollution. GIven you knew nothing of ULEZ I thought you should know about Crit'air as you now live in France.

We generally stay put out in the sticks but after nearly 20 years here even we have the odd weekend away in places such as La Rochelle smile

ULEZ failed to nuke mine from the list of 437 remaining turbos. Now has a new owner who lives outside the M25. laugh
