Just updating my coupe fact sheet for Sunday which I display on the window and just been checking 'How Many Are Left' website:

All coupe's licensed:
2020 Q1. 740
2022 Q1. 690
2024 Q1. 532

SORNd has bounced between 1.6 and 1.7k since 2018.

The drop between 2022 and 24 is one of the steepest unfortunately. They are certainly getting an increasingly rare sight on the road these days frown

This does surprise me. To me the Coupe is now of an age where it isn't just an 'old' car (if it ever was just that), but is a classic/modern classic. owners now i would have thought are collectors/enthusiast and would want to keep them on the road and happy to spend to keep them going.

Age old problem with the Coupe; its value. Unless you're very wealthy then the cost of recommissioning versus resale has to be a consideration. It's a strange point where you could get into a MOT'Dd Porsche for the price of serious work.

Hopefully a few more years and the values will creep up

What we need is the Coupe to feature in a hit film or TV show smile

My Coupé won't show up on your lists I shouldn't think, along with a few others. I exported mine to France in 2015 so would have dropped off the DVLA and presumably other places that check UK registered vehicles.

I guess I'm lucky, but I don't intend to sell mine and I'm quite happy to use it for probably less than 1500km each year. It's only now done 46,000 miles, quite a few things have already been replaced and apart from the test every two years and insurance costs are now minimal.

It gets it's monthly outing to a classic car meet, a few spirited drives for fun and a warm bed for the winter. It might outlast me!!

I drive mine all year, which helps me validate expenditure.

I'm talking to an alternative garage, where the owner is interested in older cars, including rust repairs.

I anticipate some under cill work at MOT in November.

If you get the opportunity, do take your cars out for a drive and keep the cars visible.

Took mine out this evening after a long time - looks like we might be neighbours almost Paul.

I can't unfortunately, something planned. Also, the lacquer peel is dire so I wouldn't be happy taking the car anyway to be honest.

I'm in Stockton.

That's a shame Aleem.

My car was a mish mash when I got it, a mixture of lacquer peel, different shades and differing qualities of paint repairs.

I was able to get a budget respray, wonderful at 3-5m, bit ropey as you get closer. I'm over the moon with it though.

Maybe meet up sometime, yours is bound to have qualities that I will be envious of.

Paul
