Just in the process of changing the cambelt. It's overdue time wise but nowhere near the mileage change limit.

I am not in any rush, but so far have the old belt off and changed and now getting everything back together. I was waiting for some parts so have left the car for a couple of days. I will be back on it tomorrow.

I will hopefully get the car back on the road over the weekend and get it tested on Monday.

The car hasn't been used for about 8 months as I have been working away. I guess that the AC will not be working after standing so will have to sort that once the test is done.

I did change the oil and filter too and one water hose that had a pin hole leak. Other than that the car should be good to drive again. Looking forward to getting it out on the road again.

You will see that there is a yellow bumper in one photo. This is off my wife's yellow coupe. Just after I went away she hit a deer and did a fair amount of damage to the front. Other than repairing the bumper and lights I haven't had time to sort this one out. I did manage to get a 2nd hand bonnet (for a small fortune) but it needs taking back to bare metal as it's not in great condition.
Not sure if I will get her car back on the road before I have to leave for work again. Probably not!!

All back together and fired up.

The lifters were very noisy on startup due to the car being stood so long, but the noise soon started to die down.
The battery is on charge as I used up a lot of the charge cranking over to get oil pressure before starting the car.

I do need to get the car outside tomorrow and run it up to temperature to make sure that there are no water leaks. Hopefully it's all OK. Its then ready for its test one day next week.
