I just paid membership via paypal. However, I would rather do a bank transfer to an iban. Is this possible and if so can this become the default? The issue is that I don’t want to sponsor Musk and Tiel and want to avoid americans taking over our payment systems.

PayPal payments can be selected as "service" or "friends and family" with the former resulting in the Club paying fees. Whilst we cannot encourage members to pay using "friends and family" we can't control what people do.

International payment via IBAN should be possible, but there may be fees that you as the sender have to pay. I use a service called Wise which charges lower fees than PayPal, and here's a referral code if you are interested: https://wise.com/invite/mic/davidg1211

It took us long enough to join in the first place and a very long time to leave, I don't think we would rejoin quickly, but we can all live in hope...(whatever your opinion is on the subject )
