Hi all! I am looking to join the club, I am paying via bank transfer however when entering the details my bank tells me the payee details are not a match. The details state to pay to lloyds tsb Aldershot branch however my bank doesn't like having that as the payee name so was wondering before I put it through anyway if that's correct or if there's a different name I need to put in. Thanks!

Agreed, if you able to edit it (I thought I had commented on this before?)

Just one more quick one, my bank requires a first name last name format so is there any particular way to split Fiat Coupe Club UK up for that or does it not matter too much?

I have edited the "Join the Club " form to include up to date banking details. (Lloyds and TSB were split up some time ago,)

These are they.

BANK TRANSFER
Please use the following details for making a direct bank transfer:

Lloyds Bank Aldershot Branch

Sort code 30-90-09

A/c no 03096971

A/c name Fiat Coupe Club UK

16VT and X1/9 1500

We must all do our part for the planet.
I unplugged a row of electric cars that nobody was using.
I even unplugged my own.

Hi. How and to whom on the forum do I pay for access to the technical section? I haven't found a thread on the forum that describes or suggests how to start the entire procedure.

Since when did it become a paid service? I've contributed in the past, and now I have to pay to access the sections and help other users?

Since 1st January. It's been a while perhaps since you logged on / made a post but it was first flagged up around then through a banner at the top of the main page; this has now been reduced in size but there is a link still which will provide you with further information.

Really, really bad... It was the only serious forum, where people helped each other for free. Anyway... you're free to do what you think is right. I won't pay to help other people!

You're also entitled to your opinion, and to be respected for it; however Club members have been offering free advice to others since it started smile

I for one was the recipient of much free advice until it dawned on me I could pay it back, the fee is minimal compared to what it would have cost me in garage visits and time.

When the dealer who sold me my last coupé quoted me £135 (€150+) for a new bonnet cable assembly it was the free advice which enabled me to fix it myself for £2.50.....

Whilst understanding your opinion, you have not quite got this one right!

The people on the forum still provide help and advice to others, free of charge, just like they always have. The problem is that the site, the forum costs money to run it and that can only come from people willing to support it by becoming a member, as I have for the last 22 years.

It's a small amount to pay for the wealth of information held on the site and the help available.
