I've been thinking how much i'd like to see a white coupe (not pearlescent), LE kit etc with black wheels.
saw a new white Audi S3 in a mag, then theres the white golf GTI both of which i think look great in white.
Anyone seen one before? Pics? Opinions?

See my post in Europe.... Quote:
....and other fabled mythical beasts, such as the White Coupe.
Spotted in Ibiza Old Town, a rather tired looking white example, of indeterminate version since the side badges were missing, but wearing 16v wheels.
Rather tatty, and WHY would you paint the fuel cap?
Anyway, pictures here, here, and here. Apols for the poor quality, but I had to nip round the corner and buy a disposable camera to get these, as I'd left my camera at the hotel!

Hmmm.
Tis a bit of a tatty one, but i reckon with the LE kit (or similar) and the black wheels (20vt's).......
Dont like the way the one in the pic has partially black sills, and n/a wheels.

It's funny how some colours "work" and some don't, on different cars. I've seen about 3 flat white ones and it really doesn't work, IMHO. Mind you, the pearl white beastie is another story altogether!

Agreed for sure, pearly whiteI dont think it would look too different in std white to the one in pearly white. it would need the LE kit for sure. Dunno what it is, i just have this good image in my mind...

Actually when you see them side by side pearl white and plain white and VERY different! Peal white can almost look gold-ish in some light conditions.
I never liked the plain white ones in real life, but I do agree it could look quite good with a kit. Wasn't there someone on here with a kit fitted?

Pearl white is a very nice colour, but it can look dirty if that makes sense. Even though the car is clean the tone of the paint can make it look like there is a layer of dirt on it.
To decide if you like pearl white, just look at the integrale EVO2's as this is the same pearl white

Glad you agree cracker. Must be something about people in Wiltshire. They have style. I now want a white one identical to this as well as my current sprint bloo.

I think darker wheels really improve the look of the Coop. I had mine done a month ago and it looks lower, longer and meaner.

Pearly whites are nice, but can look a bit 'dirty' (in a nice way) in some lights.
Mind you i'm basing that from pics not having seen one in the flesh.

FWIW, I do own a white 16VT (I think only did white in 16VT Plus) as they only did pearlescent (sp?) white in 20VT Plus. On the last Greek FC meeting in Volos a month ago, we did have both cars side by side (if only I can find the photo...) Mine is completely standard in terms of looks, dropped 4cm using Hormann springs and has dark grey (almost black and definitely darker than the LE/Plus) alloys, no bodykit or spoilers. Needless to say I like the colour rather rare, clean lines. V.
