Just a word of advice for those who haven't heard of this problem. If you've read my post in the technical section then you'll know my oil pressure guage suddenly dropped to zero and the oil warning light came on while doing 70 in the outside lane of a dual carriageway. Luckily, I got stopped in time and there's no engine damage, but I've a bill of nearly £600 to replace the cooler and pipes.
I knew all about the risks with timing belts etc. but never heard about this risk. It turns into a much more expensive job after they go as the cooler has to be replaced too. Thankfully my car is fine now - Time to celebrate, me thinks
