Just been to an Mitsi Evo RR day, guys from the MLR forum.

It was all evos apart from me in my coupe and my friend in an 200sx. Needless to say, we had the least powerful cars!

My friends FQ320, with de-cat, filter and exhaust reached 349bhp. My mates 200sx was 202bhp. And I beat my previous by 0.5bhp, with 270.5bhp! But the strange thing is that my torque is up from 283lbft to 318lbft! Now Id like to believe it but even im finding it hard to believe! All I have done since last time is turn boost down in summer and back up again. I had only fitted an exhaust and fuel pump a few days before i last had it rolling roaded so it may not have got used to it last time. The operator also compared it to my previous graph and said the car was running smoother than before!

But my friends 200sx had 197lbft, and all the evos were about right, so I don't know how it can be so wrong! I'll post the graph when I have scanned/photo'd it!

The most powerfull car that didn't blow up was 394bhp. Another car blew its engine at 432bhp!Gutted!

What have you set the PRV to?

I have it set to peak at 1.3ish when first on boost, then drops to 1.2ish for midrange then drops to 1.0bar at redline.

318lb/ft sounds really good. Hope your clutch can handle it ;\)
When I did my RR I got 271 lb/ft. The boost went up and down like a rollercoaster (due to bad EBV). Next time I use Armval´s PRV.

So its actually holding 1 bar at redline?

That amount of torque is a tad high to be honest dude.If you were running that amount of torque, as freddan says i think your clutch would be seriously slipping.

On the graph, does it spike to 318 then down quite alot?! If so, I had that with my PRV - not quite as much though. I went up to 270ish lb/ft then down to about 260 for a solid curve, but that's with quite a boost link. Check out my post below with my graph(in this section) I'd imagine your's to be similar with a PRV, might be wrong though.

Its holding around 1bar to the redline maybe a bit less.

The torque does peak then drop, but is still over 300 for 1000 revs, drops to around 280 after that.

My clutch does sometimes slip, not always but is gradually happening more! a new one is my next job!

Here is the link to my graph. I haven't got a scanner to use so took a photo. you might need to save it and zoom in to view it more clearly tho!

Wow!!!

Not seen one like that before!!

What did the rolling road guy have to say about that?!

Did they do a fuelling check too? How did that come out if they did?

I think so, but didn't get anything charting the results of that. He said it was running better than the previous time, and its fueling was ok the last time! Its been running like that since september and have never had any misfires, injector light on moments so I'm quite happy! I'll just believe ive got a freak of a coupe!haha

Nicely done, just start saving the penny's for the new clutch! ;\)

I just find it amazing how cars that are set up in a fairly similar way can vary in power and torque so much.

interesting that the EVO boys couldn't hold it together over 400bhp

next time they have a session, give me a call and I'll show them what our humble little Fiats can manage ;\)

There was an official event on the same day so i think the monster evos went there! I did tell them that my coupe was a mere infant in the coupe tuning world!
