while doing a search for a photo of a green coupe, i came across this forum.. and reading through some of your posts made me wonder what has become of the green fiat coupe 16v turbo, with black leather interior that i bought new in Aug 1995 reg number N553 LDD
i sold the car in Feb 1998, i do hope it has been looked after it was a great car and got me into fast cars and racing.

At the risk of becoming depressed... what have you bought to get over those troublesome 911-inspired yawns...?!

That 911 is pretty much my missus's dream car.

And the 944 is just like the one my old gaffer used to have.

Still room for a Coop in there though...

was never really interested in cars until i saw a coupe in italy in 1995 and knew i had to have one. when i got home i went straight around to my local dealers and put an order in for a fully loaded yellow one (as per the adverts they used at the time) unfortunatly everyone wanted yellow so i would have had to have waited for ages. so i instead got a green one and never regretted it.
sweeping country roads in he snow..........whhheeee! i discovered i love driving and got seriously interested in cars. big problem after owning the coupe was what the hell do you replace it with, nothing under £25k on the market at the time came anywhere close to the driving experience.and unfotunatly a farrari was way out of my budget,

i don't remember black being on the option list of the very first batch. (although i could be wrong it is a while ago now)
from memory my choice was red, yellow, blue or green

still got the brochure and video (and tin) somewhere i'll have to drag them out and have a look.

Trust me, black metallic was in there... see my sig image. I've had it from new, ordered it in the first week... it's just being resprayed at the moment; have a look at the 'Anatomy of a repair' thread. Cost me a couple hundred quid extra, if I recall correctly.

Actually I may have been premature (not for the first time frown ) about Mr Allen's car.........the vehicle registration mark has been scrapped. That could mean it has a private plate or has been exported to a strange foreign land.......like Jersey laugh
