Had it done it done on the 12th of Feb so its been about a month driving the coupe and ive got to say it feels pretty good! Reason for the remap was fitting some C&B cams, last autumn i was seriously considering buying a GT28RS but i thought i might as well see how far i can take the standard tubby till it needs replacing. Maybe some headwork and forged pistons next, who knows! Anyway these were the results.

BHP

Torque

My mods are: Pro Alloy FMIC, Gtec1+Unichip, Walbro 255, Blitz SBC iD3, C&B Cams, Powerflow Decat, K&N 57i.

I got 284bhp@6750rpm and 268lb/ft torque at 4500 at PTS, i felt these figures were optimistic at the time as the car didnt feel as sharp as it does now with less power. At PTS i didnt have the cams either.

Cost £330 quid for the remap so not cheap by any means but the car does feel very good, unfortunately i cant spend that kind of money on mapping regularly so i didnt have the car mapped before and after the cams were fitted, so cant tell wether its the cams giving me sharper response or the remap! I was told i was one of the few coupes they have had their that wasnt detting, infact i was running very rich which could explain the sluggishness...

ANyway im satisfied and im taking the car back to them to get the suspension geometry done by them.

\:\) I was looking at run 3. But now I see that run 1 is the best one. So of course it is fly wheel figures.

Hehe \:D

Max torque is achieved quite high up the rev range i think, so i get serious wheelspin in 3rd in the wet, i dont think im ever gonna ask for more than 300hp from the coupe, i think the chassis and the engine are well upto it but i just cant live with the lack of traction in the lower gears. Round tight stuff my car has immense throttle adjustability thanks to the smooth delivery of the standard turbo and i can see slapping a big turbo on my car ruining that abit. Think ive finished with engine mods for the moment and want to seriously concentrate on handling mods, as i think the coupe is the best handling FWD car ive driven by a long way. And before anyone mentions Integras and GTi's, ive been there and done that \:\)

That's what I'd expect to see Akeme. You have a nice spread of torque there.

Are you running the K&N at the end of a straight ind pipe?

If not, that would give noticeable results (well I found a SIP with Apexi very noticeable on the std turbo)

£330 for a remap though. That's quite scary tbh.

Isn't that a live map! I thought that is quite a reasonable price actually! Maybe an option for me after fitting my new tubby!
