May be going to look at a coupe tomorrow in Halsmere, sussex, although I'm pretty clued up on the coupe & know what to look for & taking the buyers's checklist off here , I wouldn't mind having another coupe brain & eyes along with me!.

its a 98R, 20VT Speed red 65'000 miles.It's had the following work done at L&M, full cambelt service, manifold, re-con turbo. Red key, leather/aircon FSH, he used mobil 1 oil. Standard apart from K&N panel filter & S/S Peco zorst.

Worth a Sunday's driving to look at??, I reckon so - will welcome any PM's regarding what it's worth!

About £4k would be my guess with those miles and servicing

Check the paint work for fading as red cars have a tendancy to turn pink and will need a mop, couple of hundred quid, to bring the red back

I'm planning on going tomorrow & be there around 12:30pm ish?, your not far off with your price there JimO - it's actually a bit cheaper!.

It's also got brand new grooved/vented discs all round & comes with a brand new LE bodykit, unpainted, unfitted etc still in wrapping

I'm planning on travelling to view this Sunday - so if anyone can accomodate please let me know - he is willing to meet me in Basingstoke if that is better for anyone??.

My main concern is although all the main jobs have been done, there is only a couple of months left on the MOT - & it's done over 10K since the test last year. I asked him if he would be willing to stick it in for a test - the cost being covered by myself, but he didn't seem to want to accomodate this.

So I really could do with someone who can give it a good inspection, not only the usual coupe points - but MOT stuff aswell, I will make it worth their while!.

it is a low mileage coupe (65K), good condition, all work done at L&M & his price seems about right to me, so i'm deffo going to take a day out to view!

Bugger me i wouldnt worry about an MOT. What do they cover? as long as nothing is hanging off, there's tread on the tyres, the handbrake works and so do the lights, there soooo simple.

Not many cars especially coupe's fail on an mot on much.

Besides they mean nothing, a car mot'd last month could be in far worse state.

I cant agree fully sorry, if the manifold or turbo is not exactly 100% then it could fail on emissions, mine did.

Fair point! - I meant the MOT was a concern, not an issue, it looks a good one & from the info he has told me it's deffo worth taking a few hours out to view

Anyway, getting a bit off-topic! - I posted this to try & find someone who can accompany me for this viewing on Sunday - Halsmere, or Basingstoke
