Kayjey OP Club Member #10 Je suis un Coupé Joined: Aug 2000 Posts: 9,729 Zele, Belgium	Seeing the interest in a cross-channel meeting I hereby present the idea: Friday 7 april: 19.00 - join at the bar in the Novotel in Ieper 19.45 - check out the 'Last Post' in Ieper 20.10 - dinner in Novotel 21.45 - evening dropping of two groups with GPS devices 23.30 - the night at Novotel Saturday 10.00 - Organised rally to Ghent with lunch and wine-stop 15.00 - Arrive at Hotel IBIS in Ghent - free afternoon 19.00 - eat at the Chess Café Ghent, all-you-can-eat wok 22.00 - spend the night, optional organised pub visits sunday 10.00 - leave for the coast 11.00 - boat trip/.../... (to be defined) Below pricing includes... - welcome drink + lunch including drinks at Novotel (estimate) - Evening Dropping - Novotel room including breakfast - Rally to Ghent including wine, lunch, roadbook - chess cafe excluding drinks - Hotel IBIS one room - organisation (left to an event company regarding logistics and planning) €365 which is about £250 Which leaves open: petrol, eurotunnel/boat, extra drinks, the sunday If you are interested in this meeting, please respond soon. All will of course have to be payed in advance and I need a minimum of around 20 people. You can of course take the entire week off and make this the start of a trip round europe! Well done for organising this Kayjey, it must have taken quite a bit of work. Personally I would have prefered a summer date so that we could have combined this event with our intended Euro trip. However I fully understand that the majority of people on the previos thread did appear favour an April date Gone Audi mad!

Mind: the hotel pricing I got is for a room for two. As soon as I've set up the definate planning I'll communicate pricing for singles, pricing for couples,... depending on activities. Of course each person can join in when they want. There will be a fixed price for the organisation of about €18 per person though, and all will have to be paid and planned beforehand. - Kayjey -

Anonymous Unregistered A	Sounds good, its around a 5-6 hour drive to get to Ieper for me have to go to St. Malo and the ferry is going to cost me about £250 rip off b'strds but funds willing i'm up for it.

But we’re going to have to look through each event price as £500 for 2 nights is more than I can afford . If anyone is thinking of coming but doesn’t fancy driving I would be happy to take passengers, for a little help with the petrol bills .
