Thanks! Printed it off this morning when I went for a first look, seemed like a very extensive list.

Thats just the basics laugh

On the warranty side I think you should check to see what it covers and what it doesn't cover first, then of course how much it costs vs the cost of getting it fixed yourself if you know what I mean smile

Look in the for sale section plenty examples there to compare autotrader, pistonheads aswell. Can't say ive seen a 99 T, 5 speed, standard coop sell at that price.

Looks okay and their website looks pretty good in an Autotrader template style but they could be operating out of a shed.

For that money though I would want a Limited Edition or a Plus or a later 6 speed Turbo, haggle if it looks good.

I would want to see receipts for oil cooler replacement, wishbones, cambelt and aux belts, tensioners.

John

If you like the car and you think it is worth the money then buy it. It may be over priced but as you say you're bying from a dealer, it is bound to be, they do it for a living. A car is only worth what someone will pay for it, that someone being you, so if you think it is OK, then go for it IMO.

A good coop for £5k, well be a lot cheaper than a dog coop for £4k.

Ha, you shouldn't of said that! I went for a S reg Dark red colour coup with brown leather for 4k!

I'm buying it from my garage's owners cousin, I went in when seeking advice and info on the yellow one, and his cousin happened to be selling his at the time, the mechanic has known it since it was new as he bought it himself off of the original owner.

Its done 50k, 1998 plate, had the cambelt done, very clean apart from some stone chips on the front bumper, very nice interior, air con, electric sun roof, 6 stack CD player.

We agreed on 3900, opinions?
