Can you declare a de-cat on your insurance as a mod or is it classed as not possible as all cars from '91 or whatever it is need one?! Just wondered what insurance companies say about it?! Obviously other mods don't cause problems as are ar upgrades etc, but is a de-cat illegal and therefore un-insurable?!

I think the general consensus is declare it as a modified exhaust. We had a heated discussion on this a while back
