Anonymous Unregistered A	I'm looking for a six speed gearbox for my coupe as if I'm having the engine replaced I may as well try and get one of these, as I've always fancied it. How much would I expect to pay for one out of a breakers?

You MAY need all the linkages, when we changed the 5 speed coupe box for a 6 speed in my kappa, the linkage was the same. There are two types of linkage fitted to the 5 speed, one of them will work with the 6 speed (think its the later one but willing to stand corrected)

Nigel Forum veteran Joined: Dec 2005 Posts: 17,367 Staffordshire	Yup - I had a 6 speed box fitted to my '98 car - fitted straight on with the standard 5 speed linkages - no hassle at all Its only the early ('97) cars that had the old style 5 speed gearbox that require the later linkages to fit

Anonymous Unregistered A	My cars a 1999 model, must have been one of the last before the six speed was introduced, I thought it would be £300+ for it, I suppose it just depends if the breaker knows they have got something rare as a lot of breakers I have dealt with in the past aren't really clued up on the coop!!
