Hi all.
My wife has just told me about a charity car day at the Vauxhall site at Elesmere Port to be held on Sunday 26th March.
Below is a link to the thread on Scoobynet.

http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthread.php?t=485846

It is to raise money for the Chester Childbirth Appeal.
I thought after the North West/North Wales meet turnout we might be able to get quite a few coupes to go along to represent FCCUK.
I for one will be going even though we'll have to back for a christening at 4PM!
Lets see how many coupes we can get and make it a good one!!

1. Coupedave

Yes - I would like to go to this, it would be great to get a load of coops to show up the vectras (and scoobies).
Might even bring the marcus20VT family!
Dave - you're a real organiser for these meets - nice one!

Cheers Marcus!
It'sjust nice for us all to get together.
I'll be bringing Cath and my little boy Adam probably too.
Been to one of the charity meets there before when I had my scooby and was a big turnout withlots of nice cars.
Still know quite a few of the scooby owners who are going too.
Oh and we might be swapping the Zafira for another scooby soon too, the garage my father-in-law works in has got a silver wrx wagon in and Cath wants another scooby so we might end up there in two cars!!

Basically it's being organised by the Vectra owners club I think but has been broadcast on a lot of other owners clubs as all are welcome.
I went to one there a couple of years back when I had the scoob and was a very good turnout with lots of nice cars.
It is usually held at the Vauxhall site in one of their big car parks.
They have these meets to raise money for charity and I think they are very worthwhile.
Would be nice to get a few coupes together and another opportunity for us all to meet up.

So far we have:

1. Coupedave
2. Marcus20VT ? Possibly
3. Mistressmania ? Possibly

The more the merrier in my eyes.

Ahh so its simply put a meet with an entry fee or such like and the money goes to charity??

What date is it as well and are you thinking of meeting up nearby and going in in convoy??

well only two turned up for this! was very vauxhall dominated, but there was a gorgeous 350z there. Also a stripped out ford ka with approx 170bhp.

I know i didn't post to say i was coming, but only decided this morning.

Was talking to the other guy in his 20vt LE but didnt catch his name, his coop looked great though.

Went on the RR and got 213bhp and 240lbs. was quite happy with that. The coop sounded a lot better than what i thought

was with my mate who has a ctr, who decided he wanted his testing so we drove back to preston and came back again.

we were expecting about 205-210 bhp and approx. 160lbs torque.

166bhp and about 130lbs. This reading could no way be anywhere near the truth. the guys there were blaming the fact he had a cone filter and non standard exhaust.

Kinda ruined the day, cos it meant my reading was probably false aswell.

I decided not to go in the end for a number of reasons.
Nobody else posted they were going, weather here was pants and we had a christening to go to.
I would have gone to honest had I known others were goingto be there.
