John - Is it only you and Barbz who have ever Motec'd a Coupe? Thanks
Guess the kappa counts here as another as its running the stock Coupe harness (and engine as the engine came from a Coupe, not a kappa originally)
Lesson I leaned the hard way was NOT to use Motec M48 even though Motec say it will run a 5 cylinder engine. Go straight to M600/M800 etc if this is the path you want to follow. By the time you add in the extras the M48 needs, there's no saving and its algorithm seems to have a glitch that even now hasn't totally been resolved. Only shows on the oscilloscope now, so I can live with it, but much mapping time and money was spent to arrive here

If you can afford it, Motec is the way to go. Pure standalone Anyone with a laptop can map it and seeing a pro map it on the road is unreal (+ a very good way to get points lol)
There are other 'cheaper' alternatives, but not very many have been tried and tested with the 20vt...
The unichip (IMO) is between standalone and a 'livemap' as it is a piggyback and can control the standard chip (in my case a gtec2) and can use extra sensors to gain more info.
