or ....? Puttin' maself in between the Veggy and TrevM bracket but there again I might be wrong and see years off both of ya Think there might have been a post like this on the old forum 2,500,000 million years ago - drat, gave it away. Come on cametodance, defend yourself, sounds like the others are threatening trades description..... Knocking on owning 8 years now and loving it

25, picked up my 20vt last year. Alfas, MR2s and Supercharged MR2s and a polo before that. I'm pretty surprised at the poll result too!

Well I've had mine a while now. Ever since I was a dashing young blade Tell the truth just after the war was the worst time, parts were still on ration. No one had any petrol, dealers only open 3 days a week. Luckily my wife used to do some ironing for the butcher so he always slipped her an extra length of sausage. Every now and then she'd let me have some left overs and I would swap a sausage or two for petrol vouchers. It was the only way to keep the car on the road. Oh, but hang on, that was my Vauxhall ten four The Coupe I've had it four years I think now. Ever since I was 48 you work it out (not as hard as one of AndrewR's maths tests)
Last edited by came2dance; 19/03/2008 01:26. Reason: and I had to google for a 1940's vauxhall - I didn't really have a car in the 40's :D

Was the 40's when you were still on two wheels then, c2d? Gawd, seems I'm leaving everyone behind - I'd better start picking my father-in-law's brains: He was an undertaker

Parked next to a Porto Blue coop in Tescos car park this afternoon when the driver arrived. He was 74!!! Had the coop from new (97) and all servicing (inc cambelt) done at local dealers. Really nice gent who admitted to still "giving it some" when the need arose.

Yeah, he'd been looking for a replacement car for 5 years but hadn't found anything below £50K that could match the coop.
