As you may know my car took a bit of a bang this week. There was absolutely no question of fault, it was his fault not mine.

So I went through my insurance company, MoreThan, all OK, its getting fixed next week. They have waived my excess as the other party has admitted fault, all hunky dorey.

Then last night Norwich Union contacted me, who are the other parties insurance company, saying did I wnat to claim through them. I said the case was already being dealt with by MoreThan and I was happy with that. But they persisted and said I could claim direct from them, they would give me a courtesy car, thecar would be repaired at a Ford garage and all would be fine for me. I still declined though, as everything is set up for the car top go in next week.

But should I have taken the offer or is it just some wheeze for them to save money...

Yours, Confused of Focusville!!

I suspect it's the latter Jim, they wanted to take control and save themselves money. Maybe they don't trust insurance companies? \:D

Yeah I thought that Stan....

Very strange though, virtually defeats the object of having your own insurance!
