I was going to place a bid on this coop but after having looked at the photos and his previous feedback, decided not to. Is it my imagination or does this coop not have a handbrake!!!!? what on earth.......! What a nasty piece of work, selling someone a car like that, stating it has no faults! Has 1 footmat too!

The lack of mats is nothing to worry about! crazy

"Q: hi when was cam belt last changed ?
A: assume 75k stamped service..."

ASSUME?!?!

it's done 100k and possibly not had a cambelt change since 30k something miles!

If you want a sound budget 20vt, look at wainy's, solstar's or benje's smile Frankly, many sub 2k coupes are hounds needing £££ spent

Why do you think that one is a dog??? Looks ok, spend a fiver on an RAC check

Do you have a very low budget and hence presumably deep post purchase pockets?

Seriously, look at these - all with great history and enthusiast owners (in no particular order)

Because he is selling it with only a bit of mot left and it has just been sat on his drive for weeks? He also doesnt show the surface rust repair that he has carried out which strikes me as a bit odd. Do you think i should place a bid on it or do you think i should look elsewhere, bytheway, my first coop n reg broom yellow 2.0 16v na has lights under the drivers and passengers doors and thought it was a fantastic touch, do they all come with that as standard or was it discontinued later on? Thanks

I would not bid on a car without checking it out and HPI'ing it first. Just noticed that it is a 20v non turbo, not a prblem, but do you want a 20vt??

Why not ask him to provide pics of the rust smile

Only the 16v have the lights, not the 20v's

I have posted links above to the cars that would be good for you to look at rolleyes

That red one has got me very curious. It looks immaculate, not just the bodywork but also under the bonnet. Considering it's done 120k miles it's incredibly clean under there, just look at the chassis legs!

Presumably a second car if it's been sat which he is not using enough, hence the sale? confused

Yeah, you're most probably right, probably just worry for the sake of it lol. Just one last question, what fuel is best to run the coop on as i wasnt too sure when i had my old one, is it unleaded, super unleaded, bp ultimate or shell optimax?

20v n/a, normal unleaded is fine. Turbo best to use Super/V-Power

Why, isn't it similar to V Power? No offence, but it's a 10 year old car, not a Ferrari...using good oil, checking it every week and changing it every six months is more important to standard coupe health smile

Worryingly, you appear to have coupe paranoia before even buying one! This may not be the best car for you if you are of a nervous disposition shocked They are often not cheap to run and can be quite stressful to own!

Jeez, i was only asking vickster! I am well aware of the coupe quirks and problems as i owned a broom yellow 2.0 16v na before and i sort of like it about them as it gives them character and a bit of a soul smile I don't know a massive amount about them although i do know quite a bit. I dont mind spending money on it as they are old cars and it is expected but i was just wondering what fuel is best to use and how to keep it maintained thats all. Thanks anyway
