i am eyeing up an alpine touch screen and woundered what it would look like in the coop...

I'm mounting mine in the centre at the top where the heaters used to be.

I did start ages ago with a whole new centre console cut the entire centre section out down to the controls of heaters and fibre glassed a touchscreen monitor into it. Was going to connect it to a Carputer. Its almost finished but lost heart with it as now I can buy a cheap motorised flip out screen with no Carputer in my car for a lot less money and hassle.

If you want I will post pics of the idea i had.

May I know what brand of 3.5" dvd player you are using? I am looking into getting either a 7" pop up or the 3.5".

It was from ebay actually. No brand but as long as its a single DIN it will fit ok.

i have just fitted a JVC AVX33 head unit with a 3.5" screen and handsfree kit built in... It is a superb head unit.
I decided against the Apline flip out screen as it would be too much messing around for me...

I'm planning to buy a cd/dvd/mp3/radio headunit and mount 5-6inch lcds in the sun visors? anyone done that? i know the visors are small as fcuk but still?

i have also been thinking about putting lcds in the sun visors or in the head rests....

I used to have another car (to ashamed to tell) but I had sunvisor monitors. I thought It would be a good idea but because the 7" LCD screen were thicker than a normal sunvisor they really stick out from the drivers line of view.

Plus not to mention I never used them had a PS2 in the glovebox and only used it once. lol.

I had a 7" screen that had to be adapted to fit into the standard stereo slot, but there was a really bad whine whenever you had the dvd on and the TV reception was crap as you were constantly moving it struggled to receive a strong signal!
I've got a video of it working as my friend and i were pissing about one day and made a 'cribs' video with it in! i'll post a link to it in a bit...

I bought a car dvd/cd/mp3 player and a 7" Monitor for my coop but it wont fit in my coop. Is there anyway i can fit it??

It's a bit of a ball ache but with a bit of time and effort it can be customised!
If you go to youtube and type in 'Fiat Coupe Cribs' there's a really bad video of my coupe with a 7inch Screen and notice how i have to have the gearstick in 2nd to open it out!

Pascal, what kind of screen is in your coupe?it looks impossibll to pot 7 inch screen in the stereo orignal place,

i have just fitted the jvc avx33 got it for £240 off amazon, hellfrauds doing it for £400! superb unit with the 3.5 screen and usb and bluetooth. Supports loads of formats too.

i have this unit too, superb headunit for the money!
