I'm annoyed.

Due to current circumstances my coop is garaged at my parents house in Darlington, while i live in Leeds and work in Rotherham.

Therefore, my dad dropped my coop at a North East specialist this morning for its MOT, and i've found out that a bit of work needs doing to it for it to pass (Rear disks/pads). They are charging £180, however Motormech would do it for £95 (including club discount) and I could get the parts from AA for £50!

What's so annoying is that i'm so far away, and I dont have the time/holiday to take the coop to Birmingham or organise a local garage to do the work! So i'm over a barrel basically! I've told them that i think they are overcharging me slightly, but they aren't interested!

Hmm, I've asked them to look into my base boost issue too, so god only knows how much that is going to cost!!

Bummer!

Could you ask them how much of their quote is parts and how much is labour?

They may just be quoting standard Fiat prices on parts but willing to let you source them from AA themselves and get them shipped directly there? idea

Rear discs are only about a tenner each from shop4parts and pads are about £20..

So parts should be about £40-50 for standard items.

I changed mine myself I would say it was pretty easy TBH.
