Hello!!

I picked up a lovely sprint blue 20VT today. Havn't driven it too much except back home but loving it already. Bought it from the previous owner via this forum so know its been looked after! Looking forward to posting many topics in the technical problems section of the forum! ;\)

Cheers!

Have a read the routing of the cables emans water can collect and freeze, mainly on older and non fiat cables.

Hrm ok interesting! Is it easy to get boiling water to the place where it freezes? Also will running the car for a while thaw it faster or does the handbrake cable not route near the exhaust? (Not been under the car yet so dont know the answer to either question yet!)

Cheers,

no m8 once its froze its sit and wait time, mainly its when you ve been parked up over night, if its on your drive and level best just leave it in gear put brick behind wheel if needed lol, also if your door handle freezes but say you can open passenger side dont lean through and try open door from inside, cable will snap off then its strip door down time lol i hate the winter

As the others have said (besides checking your oil \:D ) leave the handbrake off and carry warm water with you for the handles, etc \:mad\:

Not off to a good start though are we, it's mandatory to post pics of your new beast! ;\)

Enjoy it, they're getting rarer daily!

Bought the car off P17SY, who has used this forum a while but not posted a huge amount!

Trying to get used to the turbo at the moment. My previous car was so responsive from lower revs all the way to the redline. Im not used to having to wait for the turbo to kick in before anything happens!

... feels slow ... feels slow ... OH MY GOD POWER ... change gear ...

LOL! Its ace though, love the turbo kick. \:\)

I was watching that car for sale. Looked like a bargain. Was it really as nice as it looked in the ad?

Definitely a nice car, though I didn't go see many to get a good comparison. Couple of little issues (what car hasn't?) but for the millage its definitely a bargain! \:\)
